Lowell Winterfest

Downtown Lowell, Friday 5 pm-10 pm; Saturday 11 am-10 pm

There’s something for everyone at Winterfest, which runs both Friday and Saturday. Kids will love riding the old fashioned carousel, playing giant games, and craft activities. There’s also ice skating, delicious food vendors, live music and shopping!

Superhero Skate

MarketStreet, 600 Market Street, Lynnfield, 10 am-12 pm

Calling all superheroes! Head to the Superhero Headquarters at Capital One Cafe for a complimentary Meet & Greet with Spider-Man and Wonder Woman, viewing of Spider-Man, and treats fit for a hero. Then grab your cape and fly over to The Rink to enjoy skating!

Sugar Shack Saturdays

Appleton Farm, Ipswich and Hamilton, 10 am & 1:30 pm

See how the farm collect and turn that sap into delicious maple syrup. Meet at the Carriage Barn where you’ll learn about the maple sugaring process. Then take a short walk to the maple tree row where you’ll learn how we tap the trees. Finally, walk to the sugar shack to see the maple sugaring in action and of course taste the sap and maple syrup!

Model Magic Bugs

Michaels, 35 Independence Way, Danvers, 10 am-12 pm

They craft, you shop! Kids can get crafty making bugs out of Model Magic! Get creative with colors and make familiar bugs or create something from your imagination! Sign up in store, online, or just drop in.

Meet Backyard Birds

Joppa Flats, 1 Plum Island Turnpike, Newburyport, 10 am-12:30 pm

Drop in to Joppa Flats for an up-close wildlife experience! Watch their Bird Banding Station Manager give live demonstrations on bird research and banding. After capturing wild birds in Joppa’s backyard, they brings them inside to measure, weigh, examine, and “band” them before releasing them, unharmed, back into the wild.
